Congratulations to New Liberal Democrat Councillor Maggie Vale

Truro and Falmouth Constituency Party has increased its stock of Cornwall Councillors by 50%, with Maggie Vale's stunning victory in the Newlyn and Goonhavern Cornwall Council by-election. In a knife-edge contest Maggie came in 13 votes ahead of the Conservatives after a superb team effort that involved not only dozens of our own members but significant support from our sister parties in Cornwall.

Maggie's victory is all more impressive given that in 2013 there was no Liberal Democrat standing! Coming hot on the heels of two other Liberal Democrat wins at County level, it is another clear indication that the #LibdemFightback is gaining momentum. On now to Four Lanes!
