Save Truro's Post Office!

Truro's main post office is under threat. Your Lib Dem Team are fighting to save it.

The Post Office have announced that they will be closing the branch in TG Jones on Pydar Street on 6th October 2026.

From access to banking services and pensions to dealing with passport applications and driving licenses, we believe Post Offices provide a vital service for many people in our community - particularly those less able to access services online.

Ruth Gripper and the Truro Liberal Democrat team are calling on the Post Office to act urgently to secure the future of our main Post Office branch.

Ruth said: "With more public services and banks pushing people online every month, Truro Post Office is a critical community facility - helping to make sure everyone can access vital services whenever they need to.

"It's great to see the Post Office have invited applications for new hosts for Truro's main Post Office branch - but we're worried that this may not be enough. We want to make sure that the Post Office knows the strength of feeling about this in Truro so that they work to get this right.

“We're calling on the Post Office to urgently act to make sure their new main home in Truro is open either before or as soon as possible after 6th October. Local people must not see their level of service suffer.”

Please back our campaign to save Truro's main Post Office.
